By It’s been a long time since I last posted a full makeup look that wasn’t made by a moi 😉 This is a very special post because it is the first time I ever used this brand. I’ve been a fan of Kat Von D since I was 15 (yes a long time ago lol). I have never missed an episode of Miami Ink, and trying out her products was an exciting experience. Kat Von D Beauty’s Lock-It Collection includes:
- Lock-It Foundation
- Lock-It Concealer Creme
- Lock-It Edge Foundation Brush
- Lock-It Setting Powder
- Tattoo Liner
I got all these products at Sephora inside JCPenney and I will show you the makeup look I created with the Lock-It Collection and how you can achieve it! And yes, you’ll need all the ingredients for the final look and by ingredients, I mean products.
I went for a natural look just because less is more. I finished the look with nude lips and a soft eye shadow. The thing that impressed me the most about my final look was the foundation. It gives you full coverage, it is very pigmented and best of all, it is long-lasting. Now let me give you a step-by-step guide on how to achieve my Lock-It look.
1) CONCEALER CREME
Thank Kat for creating this concealer. It only took one coat to cover my dark circles. If you have watched my insta-stories you know my dark circles are no joke. The formula makes it easy to blend and you can also use it as a highlighter (which is what I did). When looking for the right concealer for your skin, make sure it is a shade two tones lighter than your skin.
2) FOUNDATION
After applying the concealer, I used the Edge Foundation Brush to apply the foundation all over my face, including my lips. Like I said before, this foundation has a full coverage that lasts 24 hours and maybe even more if you don’t remove your makeup. There are 30 shades available so yes, there will be one for you! One thing I can tell you is, after you try this foundation you’ll stick to it. I can promise you that!
3) SETTING POWDER
This powder came into my life at the right moment because I was looking for a translucent setting powder. I love the formula because it is lighter than others, giving you a smooth finish instead of that chalky finish other powders can give you. I think it worked perfectly, and added extra coverage to my dark circles.
4) TATTOO LINER
Last but not least, I applied the eye liner to contour my eyelids. The formula is very bold and it dries quickly. Since I was going for a more natural look, I only applied a little bit. I loved how precise it was. You can actually control how much you want to apply, so you don’t end up with a cat eye every time.
