As many of you know, when I started this journey, I did it because I was passionate about it and as I keep moving forward, I realize this passion is growing stronger with time. Beauty has turned into one of my favorite topics, especially when it comes to experimenting with different brands that I love. As my job as a beauty reporter, it is my duty to tell you which products I love, and which ones are making a big difference in my face/skin.
I recently ย moved out again (I know, exhausting) and as I was settling in my new place, I started using the new Make Up For Ever Matte Velvet Skin foundation and primers as well as the other products I got at Sephora inside JCPenney. With New York Fashion Week on the way, I had to plan different beauty looks and thatโs exactly what Iโm about to share right nowโa glam makeup look I created using my new Make Up For Ever products!
The great thing about the Matte Velvet Skin foundation is the full coverage. I usually apply just a little bit of liquid foundation on my face, but it doesnโt really cover all the โimperfectionsโ or whatever we want to call all those little details about our face we donโt sympathize with. This foundation will make it easier to achieve that perfect and smooth skin.
Before I say something else, let me tell you what the secret is behind a smooth complexion. Before applying my liquid foundation, I used two products that will be a huge help to achieving your desired makeup look.
STEP 1: MAKEU UP FOR EVER ULTRA HD SKIN BOOSTER
This skin booster is a serum that provides total hydration to the skin and protection against any unwanted residues. This will protect your skin from chemicals, dirt and other outside contaminants while making your skin feel and look great.
STEP 2: MAKE UP FOR EVER STEP 1 SKIN EQUALIZER PRIMER
We already know what a primer does, but this is like no other primer. The Step 1 primer is DA PRIMER you need before applying your foundation. It sets your foundation perfectly without leaving your skin cakey + makes your makeup last longer.
STEP 3: MAKE UP FOR EVER MATTE VELVET SKIN FOUNDATION
I already gave you some insights about my Matte Velvet Skin foundation, but itโs always good to hear more about this wonder. Another thing I loved about my new foundation besides the two things I mentioned before (full coverage + available at Sephora inside JCPenney) is that there are 40 foundation shades, so there is one for every skin color! When shopping at Sephora inside JCPenney, a store Beauty Advisor was able to tell me which shade would fit my skin tone according to my Color IQ number.
